Welcome to Las Olas Isles

Dreams are realized in this yachtsman’s paradise.

Situated where the shore meets the sea, Las Olas Isles is a yachtsman’s paradise of exclusive, luxurious super homes. With the option to drive or boat in and out, the condos and estates on these streets boast the most opulent finishes, the latest technology and amenities, and, quite frankly, a lifestyle simply not available in other parts of the city. The unique opportunity to live every day in paradise awaits on Las Olas Isles.

In the early 20th century, the area which is now Las Olas Isles was undeveloped swampland surrounding an unpaved road. While the land was cleared in the 1920s, it was not thoroughly developed for luxury residences until the 1980s. A new purchase restriction was put in place ruling that anyone who wanted to buy on the isles would need to completely rebuild the then-existing homes. Today, this premier neighborhood is home to Fort Lauderdale’s elite.

What to Love

  • Unique lifestyle not found elsewhere in the city
  • Some of Fort Lauderdale‘s most lavish and exquisite homes
  • Yacht docking available close by – no traveling to an off-site marina
  • Trendy shopping and high-end dining along Las Olas Boulevard

Local Lifestyle

Life on Las Olas Isles is what dreams are made of. The main street leading into the community is home to exquisite shopping, world-class dining, and an exquisite art scene along the riverwalk. While the beach is only a hop, skip, and a jump away, most residents prefer to take their own yachts out to sea and are fortunate enough to do so without having to venture off to a far-away marina. Most yachts are docked in the waterways right in front of residential homes, something not seen in other parts of the city.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

The main street leading into Las Olas Isles is also home to one of Fort Lauderdale’s most impressive shopping and dining districts. YOLO (You Only Live Once) is one of the area’s more snazzy eateries which recently underwent a massive multi-million dollar renovation. Since 2008, guests have come for the immaculate vibes and stayed for Szechuan calamari, tuna sashimi, and Instagrammable brunch cocktails, perfect for kicking off the weekend.

Nearby, family-style Italian comfort food is enjoyed at Cafe Europa. For over 30 years, this Calabrian-styled cuisine has claimed the title of the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood for their mastery of such simple pleasures. Caprese salad, penne alla vodka, and the house calamari are just a few examples of their old-fashioned family recipes adored by all. Another option for Italian fare is found at Louie Bossi. A rustic, yet beautiful dining space and patio is particularly popular among locals. Antipasti plates, wood-fired Neapolitan pies, and homemade pasta are paired with classic Italian-inspired sips and frequently followed with a creamy serving of tiramisu.

More casual diner staples are the focus of The Floridian, perfect for low-key mornings after a big night out. Fluffy stacks of flapjacks, omelets, and towering BLT sandwiches on thick, toasted bread are filling ways to start off the day, enjoyed in an unfussy dining room decorated with portraits of stars from the neighborhood’s golden era.

Things To Do

While Las Olas Isles is a great place to enjoy some retail therapy, Las Olas Boulevard is also home to a unique number of fine art galleries, each with its own unique style and flair. New River Fine Art is one of the most exquisite galleries on the boulevard, with several others like Wentworth Galleries and Sienna Fine Art located close by, all with their own distinctive style and flair, guaranteeing to satisfy even the most refined art aficionados. Found at the eastern edge of the boulevard, Las Olas Beach is a popular sandy spot for locals to lay out, step into the ocean, or enjoy a mid-afternoon cocktail with a view. If a quick trip out of town is in order, Las Olas is conveniently located less than five miles from Fort Lauderdale International Airport, making it an especially popular neighborhood for businessmen and women on the go.
